Not much going on. I'm not feeling so good. Mom thinks I might have an inner ear infection. I think that in addition to that my anemia is making me soooo tired. I've been receiving my IVIG treatment for CVID for five months. It's helping! I don't think I'll ever be the picture of health, but I haven't been this "not sick" in a very long time. It's a blessing.
However, to say I feel good, is a stretch on most days. Unfortunately, my hemotologist doesn't know much about CVID. By much, I mean he knows less than me as I've spent a little more time reading about it than he has taken the time to do. I know he's busy, and he treats A LOT of cancer patients (who clearly have a lot more going on than I do), but it would be nice if he knew what I was talking about when I ask him a question.
I could go somewhere else, another in network hemo, but they will be located in Baltimore or in Bethesda at the NNMC. I'm sure those facilities have EXCELLENT doctors, but the distance is prohibitive. Adam already has to take an entire afternoon off of work every month for my treatment. If I had to travel that far away it would require that he be home all day with the kids and then I'd have to drive a much farther distance after the treatment when I'm dealing with a benadryl buzz. So, to keep it easy on all of us, I'll stick with my current hemo. I'll just have to be a voracious reader when it comes to my disease.
Well, I'm off to bed, hopefully. :) I'm dealing with a little guy who took a nap at 8:30 so he's not quite tired enough for bed.
